Janet M. Izzo
Biography
Janet M. Izzo was born in Rockland County, NY in 1960. Her childhood was devoted to music, learning various instruments while attending Julliard Pre-College program. She went on to study music and literature, receiving a PhD in Italian Literature from NYU. She is also a Fulbright Scholar. She divides her time between Guanajuato and New York, dedicating her days to tending to her gardening, rereading her favorite authors, writing poetry and prose, and spending time with her instruments and family.
Janet M. Izzo nació en Nueva York en 1960. Su infancia estuvo dedicada a la música, aprendiendo varios instrumentos mientras asistía al programa preuniversitario de Julliard. Continuó sus estudios de música y literatura, recibiendo un doctorado en Literatura Italiana de la Universidad de Nueva York (NYU). También es becaria Fulbright. Ella divide su tiempo entre Guanajuato y Nueva York, dedicando sus días a cuidar su jardín, releer a sus autores favoritos, escribir poesía y prosa y pasar tiempo con sus instrumentos y su familia.
